Task Scheduler - option to disable Inventor add-ins

Please add a new option to the task scheduler that enables/disables Inventor add-ins.

Why:

Some add-ins are counterproductive for tasks like "Migration" or " "Purge".

Let's take as an example an external PLM solution, which controls all the user activities.

This add-in can block the manipulation of an Inventor document if the document is locked (is not checked-out).

This would mean that the "Migration" task will fail.

Also, most of the companies use the users workstations to migrate the Inventor files (because workstations are very expensive).

The users work all day and the migration is done overnight.

This means all the addins can not be permanently enabled/disabled and must be enabled/disabled by the users - twice a day!

Hi @thom-g,

So far as I know, if you start an Inventor session and disable the Add-Ins that shouldn't run trough the Task Scheduler specific task you choose, Inventor doesn't load trough opening CAD-files to work with the tasks. Maybe this is will help you and other users.

Hi @mschindler-mum,

Exactly, but this means that the user must enable the add-ins if he needs to work, and to disable them if he want to start the migration process.

Inventor has has two options to load add-ins: automatic and manual.

The manual way is available trough the Inventor API.

So Autodesk could simply use these already implemented methods to manually enable/disable add-ins when Inventor is started trough the Task Schedule program.

This would not affect the users settings (automatic load).
