Hidden parts in assemblies are hard to find in the browser sometimes. IT would be good to switch to a non view screen and select the specific parts, wich should be visible again. On the non view screen only the hidden parts are displayed.
Hi @stefan_gerber, Inventor actually already has this capability, although it's not obvious. If you expand the "Representations" folder and then "View" node, then right-click on the active View Rep (the one that's checked), you should either see an option called "Edit View" or "Edit Include Components". Click that, and in the menu that pops up, change the "View All" option to "View Excluded". Then you can select parts or top-level components to add back into the view. It's a really handy tool.
FYI, if you don't see either of those buttons, it's because the "BIM Simplify" add-in is not enabled. To enable it, go to the Tools tab --> Options panel --> "Add-Ins" button, then find "BIM Simplify" in the list. Click it and tick both the "Loaded/Unloaded" and "Load Automatically" checkboxes, then say OK.
