I do not always use Frame Generator for for some assemblies of structural steel. I may have 2 pieces that come together and one of the pieces needs to be trimmed or notched. In Frame Generator that that is an easy function. In an assembly it can be rether difficult and time consuming. I usually end up editing the part, placing a sketch on a surface and doing an extrusion. I would be so easy if the Frame Generator functions were available in a regular assembly and a welded assembly.
