As Climate change is and will be the future problem that we need to adapt to. I thought storm simulation on building structures would be beneficial. We enter all the mechanical parameters into the model, such as cfm inside a duct. However, we also use plenums for air to pass through. This creates pressure on ceilings and walls. Can pressure and loading be added to ceilings and walls? If so, can air volume and speed be added outside a duct? And during a storm, if windows can be opened, can a building handle a tornado? During a tornado, the occupants are told to stay away from windows. Also, they are told to open windows. If the model could be used to perform calculations to simulate wind loading with windows open this would be a tool to adapt to climate change and save structures from imploding during disasters. This would lessen the destruction in a tornado's path, providing shelter after the storm.
