Visibility is a crucial aspect of Inventor models, but can very easily get out of hand. Assemblies can become a mess with extra components, work planes, sketches, etc. showing up, or even be missing vital components instead. The best way to keep assemblies clean and functioning properly, from a visibility standpoint, is to ensure that every component occurrence is associatively linked to a View Rep.
However, there's no easy way to tell at-a-glance which occurrences are linked to a View Rep and which aren't. It would help immensely if there were some kind of indicator on each occurrence to show if it's associatively linked to a View Rep or not. This could be a "link" badge on the browser icon, a "link" symbol in the node name, or something else:
Possible indicators when occurrence is associatively linked to a View Rep:
This would make it much easier to ensure that every occurrence is set to a View Rep, to keep assemblies clean, uncluttered, and showing precisely what they're supposed to.
