Shared views should show finish feature

The image below with a blue background is taken from Inventor with half the wall textured with a custom from the appearance drop down (just the surface) and the other half with the custom appearance applied with the finish feature (just the surface). The grey background is the same part exported to Shared Views. I would like to see the finish feature displayed in shared views. Textures aside, even defined appearance colours and attributes/properties defined within an Inventor Appearance library and then used via Inventor Finishes should absolutely carry across into other Autodesk viewing platforms - be it Shared Views, Forge Viewer, Autodesk Viewer or Design Review.

At time of writing, the finishes feature only works within Inventor itself, meaning it can't be used easily with other collaborative workflows/products.

The part finish feature could be exported to shared view in Inventor 2026, and you could get more details in Inventor 2026 Help | Finish Feature Enhancements | Autodesk
