When a user (logs out of one Vault and) logs in to a different Vault in Inventor, the Project file associated with that Vault should be set in Inventor automatically. This setting (associating a Project file with a Vault) already exists in Vault but it's not being used to its full extent.
If a user tries to switch Vaults while they have CAD files open, perhaps Inventor could warn them, or refuse to switch Vaults until the files are closed?
We have two Vaults (our original Vault has so much data in it that it's becoming unmanageable so we are organically migrating to a new Vault) so some users need to switch back and forth. Often they forget to switch Project files when switching Vaults, so they save in the incorrect location, and various other issues.
Humans aren't perfect, so any tedious steps that we can take out of their workflow (such as having to remember to switch y when they switch x) makes for happier users and a more productive company.
There's already a setting in Vault to 'enforce' a specific Project file for a Vault. But currently this setting only applies to Vault, which needs to know which Project file was used to create Inventor files that are vaulted. Surely this setting could be used to set the active Project file in Inventor too?
