Select components to exclude from Section Views in 3D models

I wish to section an outer casing on an assembly model so that I can show the internal components and rotate the view on screen.  Currently it appears that this is not possible and that you can only create Half / Quarter / Three Quarter Section Views of the entire assembly.

A function to be able to select which assembly items are sectioned seems like an obvious thing to include to me and would be a welcome addition.

There is a possible workaround for this though probably quite arduous. Make the parts you don't want sectioned into Content Center Parts and uncheck "Section all parts" in Assembly tab of Application Options. We have our o-rings in CC and when this box is unchecked, the o-rings appear full circle. Also for fasteners. Reading the help file on this does not seem to describe it the way we've experienced it.

Does seem like a reasonable request that would make for some extra flexibility when showing section views.

@dylanasafe Now you could drill down to the part level of each individual component and select / deselect "Participate in Assembly and Drawing Sections" from the Tools / Options / Document Settings / Modeling Tab prior to creating the assembly-level section view. If there are multiple instances of unique component, that would be a problem. Anyway hope it helpful for you. Many thanks!

I need to exclude entire subassembly having many number of parts excluded from sectioning at the same time  I need to show this subassembly in my entire assembly. Is there a possible way to do this?
