Our designers use the "Save and Replace component" button alot, to create variations of machines they developed.
Most of the parts they want to replace, come with a drawing.
As they create a new component, they also want to copy the drawing that comes with it, and upload it directly into the vault so the drawing doesn't get lost during final check in of the model.
The workflow to do this now is quite cumbersome, you have to save and replace the component, open the original drawing, change the drawing reference to the new part, then save the drawing under a new name and check the drawing into the vault.
If you have to do this 100 times a day, you can save considerable amounts of time if this workflow would be automated.
Now we have created an addin to help us with this, but I would like to see it implemented in IV.
