Rib in section view according to technical standards

Rib in section view according to technical standards

Dear friends.

As you know, the ISO, DIN, ASME and other standards. They agree on a proper way of representing certain characteristics and elements when they are in a section view.

We can list:
Features: ribs, Spokes, gear teeth;

Parts: Pins, Bolt, keys, Rivet, shafts

As for parts, we can easily meet the standards. But, we do not have the same facility with the features.

So, I propose a way to omit the section due to a certain characteristic. This can be activated with the right mouse button on the resource itself, in order to include or omit the cut.

I do not advocate the inclusion of this function only in the "Rib" feature, but in any other (extrude, revolve, sweep, etc.).

Thanks for the opportunity

This option has been around for a long time in SolidWorks where part features can be removed from the section participation such as parts in an assembly.

It has to be taken up proactively as editing it manually takes time.

Also in break view the manual hatching doesn't work.

I don't understand why support is needed if it's against the standards & the competitors are complying with the standards.

Software is used to make drawings fast.

If a suggestion is given in 2020 why can't it get implemented in subsequent versions.

If this is the speed I think people will move to other softwares which are in plenty.

Including me 17 have liked, how many more support are needed?
