What i mean is to reduce mouse click mania and simplify how functions work.
Like when measuring area...
I expect Inventor to create a sum that sums up all I select. And it does but why so complicated? Why not just go to a new "mode" as soon as I click "Add to accumulated value"? Then i just click areas and i also should see WHAT i select and also be able to deselect with CTRL+click... And get the sum accordingly. Nu fuss and messing about and first selecting areas and then looking for that areas data and adding it. Arghhh...
Next example. All the info in the part tree and and what needs to be clicked when needing a plane or say when going into a sketch. I'm so sick and tired of always needing to open and closing stuff for this. Please change in all and every place reasonable. "New look" would give me instant, clickfree and unhidden access to planes and "edit sketch" and everything else simplified this way.
Example 3:
When creating 3 sketches and filling them with center points i can select them all but in a click mania way. Why not just select all points in the current sketch when i press H? Then when i click a point in another sketch ALL of the points in that sketch should be selected. No exiting of sketch, no clicking + to add, no clicking all points. Same should go for extrusions from different sketches (now I have to add them via + and also have to change them all one by one to be a Cut).
It also should be ONE line in the tree (please see the "Should look like" in the picture). You could argue that its stupid to auto select all sketch areas in a sketch when extruding BUT if you know this is the way it works then what is done in the sketch will surely be adjusted (and then I prefer to unselect areas from that).
PS: I hate this forum system (is the second time i create the post, had some error the first time).
