I have recently started using Inventor at a new job. Previous to this, I used SolidWorks for four years. What I have realized is that in terms of exploded views, Inventor is FAR behind SolidWorks and other software packages. First and foremost, it is silly that an entirely new file is required to make an exploded view - in SolidWorks it is done within the assembly file itself.
On to my point - there is currently no replace model feature within IPN's. This is a major problem. This means that if I create a new assembly with one minor difference, I need to go through all the trouble of remaking ALL of my exploded views. This is unacceptable for a software package in 2019!
Inventor team - PLEASE add this feature in. I would be willing to bet that hundreds of hours have been wasted within the engineering department I work in on simply redoing exploded views because this feature does not exist. This needs to be updated ASAP. Please!
Thank you.
