Since writing the original post, I have discovered some great tools within Autodesk Speedform which would also be useful in Inventor. The basic idea here is to not have to switch between different software packages just to make a single product. Let us Inventor users stay in Inventor!

Currently, freeform modeling/tsplines is implemented pretty well within Fusion 360.
As a designer/engineer, I use Inventor for my 3D needs - it is more powerful in many ways and has a much better sketching interface. When trying to do freeform modeling in Inventor, though, I find it lacking many of the tools available in both Rhino Tsplines and in Fusion 360. These include, but are not limited to:
I don't understand why your flagship 3D package for Engineers and designers would be lacking functionality that cheaper software already offers.
