"Orphaned" Model/Reference Parameters should become User Parameters

"Orphaned" Model/Reference Parameters should become User Parameters

What I'm calling an "Orphaned" Model/Reference Parameter is when you delete an object that the Parameter belongs to, but other Parameters reference by name.  This leads to a case where a Parameter is listed in Model/Reference Parameters, but does not directly control/relate to any part of the model anymore.

Easiest example is:

  • Create a dimension constraint.
  • Create a parameter that references that dimension constraint's parameter by name.
  • Delete the dimension constraint.
  • The referenced model parameter is now "Orphaned".

I am suggesting the behavior should change so that an "Orphaned" Model/Reference Parameter is moved to the User Parameter section since that is a better definition at that point.  I think all Parameters under the Model section should directly control some part of the model, and all Parameters in the Reference section should directly relate to some part of the model.

I don't know if everyone would want this behavior, so at this point an application option for toggling this behavior would be best.

Another acceptable Behavior would be Indicating in the Consumed By column that the Parameter is "Orphaned"  I just want them to be distinguishable amongst the real Model/Reference Parameters.
