Publishing a sheet metal part into content center for frame generator.

Hi there,

I would like to see the ability to create a profile contour sheet metal shape and publish it to content center. I would like to use this shape in frame generator. After creating the frame then flatten the parts and then cut them with a laser, plasma or waterjet. If it could also auto crop the flat patterns so a bent shape will fit together after mitering (Corner) the ends.

Hi,

You can do it in Inventor now, I've tried it.

Steps:

1. Start a Sheet Metal

2. Set the Sheet Metal Style

3. Create the section in sketch including the bends also.

4. Extrude the section for example 10 mm.

5. Crate the flat pattern

6. Author the profile

7. Create an iPart table if you want.

8. Publish

9. Use
