Inventor lets you click on an assembly header in the model tree and "Create Presentation". I posted one idea earlier to bring along the home view settings but there is another equally important request, the model tree. When we create an assembly, we organize it by creating folders such as Fasteners, Reference, Purchased, and things like that. When we create a Presentation file, the model tree is totally flat and every part is displayed in some seemingly random order.
FIRST SUGGESTION: Bring in the same model tree structure and order that was in the assembly model tree
SECOND SUGGESTION: In assemblies we have the Productivity option to Alpha Sort Components in the model tree. There is no option in a presentation to sort the model tree.
Because the Presentation model tree does not match the order and format of the assembly model tree, it is difficult to pick and chose what to tweak .
