Precision feature within the sketch Tolerance GUI

Precision feature within the sketch Tolerance GUI

Create a sketch and add a tolerance to activate the ‘Tolerance’ GUI.

Change the precision to any other precision setting (eg 0.1).

The lower and upper Tolerance values remain unchanged as shown below, because in the Tolerance GUI the precision setting is related to the Model Value and not to the Tolerance value.

By the way, having a precision setting in the Tolerance GUI that apply just to the Model value can confuse the users and is not consistent with other GUI’s as the one below.

I think that you misunderstood the precision setting... We may want to input the values in a higher precision whlie displaying them in a lower precision.

Consider that I have taken the tolerance values from a bearing catalog for instance, and enter them into the upper and lower value boxes by using exactly the same precision written in this catalog. Later, I may want to display them in 0.1 precision or next day I may want to display them in 0.001 precision.

Could I explain my thoughts clearly?
