Point Selection in Chain Dimensions

Chain dimensions is a great time saver, but it could be improved by enabling the selection of point references as well as line references.

I appreciate that lines are a necessary element, required to determine the direction of the chain, but surely one line is sufficient to do that? A chain of dimensions does not always offer line references for every stage.
