Patterns - Choose the number of features in each direction of the same axis

Patterns - Choose the number of features in each direction of the same axis

TL:DR at the bottom. Screenshots in-line.

You have a feature, such as a hole, which you want to pattern along both the x- and y-axis. You pick "rectangular pattern", choose the x-axis as direction 1 and the y-axis as direction 2. Now you run into trouble:

On the x-axis, you want 3 additional holes in the negative direction and 6 in the positive.

On the y-axis you want 3 additional holes in the negative direction and 5 in the positive.

With the current setup, you would have to either shift your original hole so that it was the first in line (currently it is somewhere in the middle) OR pattern all of the holes in the positive x and y and then create ANOTHER pattern to pattern all the holes in the negative x any y.

Note that I pick "y-axis" for both directions and do 3 on one side, 6 on the otherNote that I pick "y-axis" for both directions and do 3 on one side, 6 on the other

The same is true for a circular feature.

I would like to add an option to each of the patterns where you can choose the direction of the pattern and then the number of features in each direction, rather than just the total number of features. This option would not be active all the time. Rather, it would be a selection similar to extruding with asymmetric distances (see screenshot below).

These menu items would be added to both rectangular and circuler "pattern" featuresThese menu items would be added to both rectangular and circuler "pattern" features

TL:DR: When patterning, we should be able to select separate numbers of features for each direction on an axis (.g.: 3 and 5 holes in the negative and positive "x", 2 and 6 in the "y") similar to how we select asymmetric distances when extruding. The same should be true of circular patterns.

I can see it's occasional use...
