There is a need for anyone cutting parts on a CNC, to be able to identify those parts on the sheet. I've come up with a few workarounds, but the most effective way for me would be to have some sort of utility to create part labels and/or a way to have the cnc mark the parts. I don't want to have to physically mark the parts to engrave them. Currently Inventor CAM doesn't recognize sketches at the top level of the nested assembly to be able to engrave or mark them. To mark them at the part level requires that you know the face up side of the part, which isn't always easy if the part has no features that force a face up condition.
