Ordinate Dimension Alignment

When dimensioning a non-X Y set we have to start by selecting a line perpendicular to the desired dimensions.
I would love to see all dimension tools gain the "aligned to ref" per this idea http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/inventor-ideas/custom-alignment-direction-for-aligned-dimensions/idi-p...

However, the Ordinate Set tool could "snap" perpendicular to starting line in addition to the current "snap" aligned to starting line.

This would solve 99% of my use of non-X Y ordinate set issues and would be both easy to implement and would sit comfortably with a future "align to ref" that should be added to all dimension tools

Just wanted to clarify to make sure I understand. Does this summarize what you're asking for? :

1. Give ALL dimension commands the "Align parallel to Ref" command as suggested in the other idea.
2. Give all dimension commands an "Align perpendicular to Ref" command similar to how the Ordinate dimension tool works.

Am I missing/mis-stating anything?

- The ordinate tool currently only aligns parallel to ref line (first
selected line).
I was suggesting that the ordinate tool should also align perpendicular to
the first selected line. I was not suggesting this applied to other dim
tools.

I would really love for this feature to be available.

I have had to use creative means with centerlines and sketches to get most of the dimension styles to display the way I needed them to, which I don't feel I should have to do, but with ordinate dimensions there is no way to bypass the lack of directional control. I do feel like many many more people would use this capability than have "voted" for it. Please please reconsider adding this functionality.

I also would like to see this feature addded, where the Ordinate Set could be aligned with an angled refernece line instead of being forced to use either the horizontal or vertical axis.
