When defining different formats of packaging in nesting utility, it seems like nesting utility chooses only one kind of packaging for the entire nesting operation. That doesen't necessarily give the best optimisation for the job, I would really like the option to have the smallest possible packaging to be chosen in addition to minimizing the number of sheets. I obviously want the best possible nesting efficiency, and I want to allow nesting utility to choose from all the defined packagings for each individual sheet it generates to achieve this.
In the example attached here, we have three parts to be nested, for the first sheet it chooses the 1500 width so it can place two parts side by side, but it also chooses the same sheet for the second sheet where it clearly could have chosen a smaller sheet as there is only one part on this that is small enough to fit on a smaller sheet. Neither the "best size" nor the "best mix" option in the nest creation dialogue appears to affect this.
Also it appears that nesting utility for some reason chooses the 3000 length instead of the 2500 length that is still long enough to fit the parts on, I couldn't figure out why it does that.
