Open Vault-Attached PDF's From INSIDE Inventor???

We have the ability to attach files to models in Vault so related documents are readily available when working with the model.  For example the user manual attached to a purchased component, a quotation attached to a machined part, a pneumatic schematic attached to a pneumatic manifold assembly.  With these (and just about everything we would attach) are all PDF's.  We have our PDF's associated to a PDF reader (Adobe, or FoxIt, or PDF24, etc) and double clicking on them normally opens them.  When we're in Vault Client we do this:

Vault Client --> Uses --> Attachments --> Double click on PDF --> Opens file with PDF reader app

But when we're in Inventor, we can see the attachments in the Vault tree but when we try to open them from the Vault tree, we get this.

Inventor -->  Vault tree --> Attachments --> Double click on PDF --> Fail

If we RMB and select Go To Vault Folder rather than Open, it opens a second session of Vault Client and goes to that folder.  Useless.  It shows the PDF icon in the Vault tree so it knows what app is associated with PDF's but it fails to launch it.  Not sure what the use of attaching files to models is unless you can access it from Inventor and 99% of what we attach would be PDF's.  We found an add-in to open PDF files from AutoCAD, but nothing to open PDF's from Inventor.

Add this functionality to Inventor because without it, attaching files to models is pretty much useless.

In Inventor we cannot double click on the PDF in the Vault tree, should have stated:

Inventor -->  Vault tree --> Attachments --> RMB on PDF --> Click Open --> Fail
