It would be great to have an additional display option for drawing views.
Something that shows more detail than when tangential edges is disabled but not as many edges as when tangential edges is enabled.
The function of this feature would be that illustrations would be clearer and have fewer lines while still communicating the concept.
Specifically features of this new "reduced lines mode" within the drawing view settings dialog would be:
Creating a single line to illustrate corners at the mid point of the curve, rather than one at the start and one at the end.
Lines that overlap or in close proximity would be consolidated to a single line.
It is important that this feature creates closed shapes so 3rd party software such as adobe illustrator can still recognise the closed shapes when using tools such as live paint.
This would also be of benefit when creating black and white instruction material as multiple overlapping lines can cause .pdf display issues.
