Multiple line selection w ctrl key in sketch when lines coincide

Currently in sketch mode, if two lines (say a construction line and a regular line) are coincident, if I rover over the lines to get the drop down to allow me to select the line I want, I cannot add it to my selection group with control key. It should work, but doesn't.

I like the idea, I think the drop down you are refering to is called "Select Other"
