I get surface models from clients regularly.
I can thicken a surface to create a Solid Body and get their parts to show up in my assembly/drawings; but for some reason I cannot mirror thickened features. So if they send me (1) unit of a pair, I cannot within the part file mirror to create the 2nd part to complete the pair. I must derive and mirror, which means extra files, extra time and links that all must be maintained.
I would like to see Inventor recognize the Thicken command as making a NEW Solid, and treat it the same way as Extrude, Loft, Revolve, Sweep, etc. and allow mirror and pattern functions.
