It may just be me, but I find that the freeform tools that are in Inventor aren't super intuitive or useful. Of course, being able to set restrictions and sizes on organic shapes is useful, but as far as actually using them to create anything more than a simple curved edge can be tough.
I think that bringing in a primitive version of the sculpting tools from Maya, which allow you to pull, inflate, gouge, twist, and other functions, would be an improvement. Yes, Inventor already has some of these functions, but why would we want to use those if there is already a great system in Maya. I'm not saying completely merge the two programs (Autodesk still has to make money), but I don't see why the Freeform tools from Inventor and the Sculpting tools in Maya are so different.
