Midsurfaces Export from Inventor Stress Analysis Simulation.
I'd like the ability to export the midsurfaces model from the simulation environment to be consumed by another FEA tool (i.e. ANSYS).
I took an Assembly and derived it down to a part file, then entered the simulation environment and created midsurfaces. Now I want to export / save copy as another CAD neutral format.
@Anonymous - The feed back I've got so far is that there is not at this time the ability to export a mid-plane model from the simulation environment that can be consumed by another FEA tool. The work flow I use now is to export .STEP file then do all the mid-plane work in the FEA. Of course it cost more money for the feature manipulation in the FEA package.
