Method of Locating Manually Overridden Values in Drawing Annotations

Hello all,

In my time working with Inventor I have come across many instances where I must insert text values in dimension annotations. Unless I have memorized where manual values were inserted in annotations, the only way I would find that a value has been input is when I change the part to the point of that manually inserted value is incorrect. I feel this correction should be found earlier and easier in the design process.

I mentioned to my company to possibly use a subtle method as to not confuse fabricators, such as adding the text "BOTH ENDS" onto a chamfer callout manually may instead be "BOTH ENDS" (underline on the S). Of course BOTH ENDS will not automatically appear but while looking through hundreds of drawings, something obvious to catch may help and there are instances which are less obvious. It was then suggested that I turn to the forums and look into Inventor adding a some a feature that would take care of this so that it can become more standardized rather than just within my company.

Let me know what you think.
