Marking text Tool - sheet metal flat pattern

For all users who make large assemblies with many sheet metal parts it is necessary  to mark sheet metal parts with there Part number to prevent parts from being mixed up during production. It will be very use full if there is a tool available in Inventor . Please make sure that added marking is shown in the flat pattern export (DXF). Example tool shown in image below.

Autodesk developers,

There is no way to link iproperties to text within a sketch rendering the emboss command prone to errors by non-association should the part number for example be required to be maintained with integrity.

You do however allow linking model and user parameters and not sure why you stopped there?  Please consider adding this.

@Anonymous This functionality exists.. (I think added in 2017 updates)

While in the flat pattern mode.. Create a 2d sketch... place text where you wish it to be marked on your part...Right click on that text and select "convert to geometry" and pick a font like ISO or whatever...

That text should now be included in the dxf when you right click on the flat pattern node and select "save copy as" and save it to a dxf..
