I have a bracket that supports several sizes of power supply. I modelled the bracket using the primary power supply and used Cable and Harness to define the cable routing.
I’d like to use model states to show the bracket with the alternative power supplies. However, because the design includes Cable and Harness, I’m unable to create new model states. When I attempt to create a new model state, or duplicate the primary one, I receive the error: “Adaptive component incorrectly being driven by more than one parent,” and the model state cannot be created.
Cable and Harness and Model States have both been part of Inventor for several years now, so it would be extremely helpful if they were compatible. This workflow would benefit greatly from the ability to use both features together.
