LOD in MODEL STATE

LOD in MODEL STATE

the levels of detail have been replaced by model states but they don't work the same way they also have a different meaning ...
We need to restore the levels of detail in the various model states.
Designing large plants and designing with all the nuts and bolts removed makes a very useful sense. If I suppress the hardware with the model states I have to be very careful to apply the changes and all the model states are not immediate.
The Copy View Representation to Model State command does not work on subassemblies.

I completely agree, Model Stetes aren't the same of LOD!
Model States cause waste of time in modeling large assemblies that is mandatory to open a full assembly when you must apply a change to all the states.
Other issue is caused from the command 'Copy to Model States' that suppress only the components in the first level of the assembly. The same command in the past, 'Copy to LOD' was able to suppress all the components in all levels.

Please give us back the functionalities that spare time to solve technical problems of our projects.

Model states does not support skip level suppression on component. That means the content center parts in sub-assemblies can't be suppressed in model state of top assembly when copy design view to model states. But we provide the ability to hide/show all CC parts in Inventor 2023.2 within design view. You can have a try, and hope it benefits you. Many thanks!

I am aware that model states are not supported, there is a big difference between making invisible and suppressing the hardware of large assemblies! I'm amazed at your answer... "You can have a try, and hope it benefits you" ???I pay the sub every year and autodesk takes away a fundamental utility for the management of large assemblies !!! Shame on you
