I'd really like to have some functionality that will let me link different representation together. What do I mean by that you ask, well I may want to put an assembly in a particular positional rep but at the same time either suppress or turn the visibility off of other components. I'd like to be able to select a user configured 'state' that will change current design view, position reps and LOD's to suit that state.
How might it work?? Well how about a new Representation option perhaps called 'States' that the user can create as required. Under each 'State' you would link design view reps, positional reps and LOD's. Then when you make a state active it simply activates the linked view, position and LOD representations all at once.
I'm certain this is simple to do right now via iLogic but it would be so much slicker out of the box.
Any thoughts??
