The isolate function works well when just a few components are needed, however once in a while it is necessary to know what else is adjacent to those parts. I'd like to see an option for isolate (additional command?) that disables the other components or similarly reduces graphic overhead (a workflow similar to edit part/sub assembly in place), ideally by selecting which other components should still be visible.
Our use case would be doing routing in a large assembly where not all components are needed, but the ability to see some of them without having to toggle back and forth a View Rep or LOD due to the amount of time required to redisplay based on the number of instances/components. Currently users may have to turn on large sub modules just to route around them AND full load in order to perform these activities which can result in performance degradation. We do use shrinkwrap in some cases, but to route you still have to full load.
