IPN Flexibility Improvements

IPN Flexibility Improvements

Please can you add the ability to change the model state in an IPN file. Currently it is greyed out and cannot be changed. This is a major headache when working with an IAM file that has multiple model states. For example, when creating a copy of an existing IPN file, the newly copied IPN file will not allow changing of the model state, which is sometimes required. Only the design view can be changed via the scene, representations... settings within the IPN.     Additionally, why can an IPN not have its referenced assembly changed in a similar way that a DWG / IDW can have its referenced IAM or IPT changed? I know of the assembly file re-naming workaround but this is clunky and time consuming, plus loaded with danger if you are a novice user and accidently delete / overwrite another file.

@gareth.butlerS9R7M Absolutely!

The presentation file environment feels like someone was working on it and got re-assigned when it was half done. It could be so much better. Here's a short list for the next person assigned to clean it up:

1. Allow editing of model and view representations.

2. Require the creation of a snapshot view before tweaks can be made.

3. Allow shared view and 3D PDF creation.

4. Allow the timeline to be turned off and not reappear unless turned back on (application level.)
