When dragging a file in Inventor, there is no way to catch the drop event and to manage the data embedded in the event differently.
The scenario is the following: the user drags a generic object of an external tool (e.g. a database record connected to a file to be retrieved somewhere) in Inventor and another Inventor add-in can be interested in listening the drop event in order to translate the object data into a file recognized by Inventor.
