Hotkeys

Hotkeys

Make it possible to use hotkeys properly again. For ever generation it becomes harder and harder to work fast using hotkeys on the keyboard.  Default in a window that pops up needs to be accept the selection not cancel. Thus removing the need to hit tab to move over to accept.

And make it so that when i am in sketch hotkeys for assembly++ is not available. So that i can have C for constrain and Circle without conflict when working in sketch.  Now you have to either tab to get the right command or have one more letter in the hotkey. Say cc for centered circle so you do not have to tab.

"Constrain" and "Circle" only started conflicting when someone got the bright idea to make the sketch commands accessible on the ribbon while not actually in a sketch.  Before that, sketch-related commands were isolated from part or assembly-level ones, so overlapping hotkey assignments worked without a problem.

This "addition" gives no practical benefits that I'm aware of.  If you use a sketch command while not in a sketch, all it does is ask you to pick a sketch plane before starting the actual command (line, circle, whatever).  This saves one click per new sketch - hardly worth the disruptions to hotkey behaviors, in my opinion.

Just gonna remind Autodesk that this is still relevant and annoying. 🙂
