Currently, Inventor 2019 Professional doesn't allow users to fully edit the detail view created. For example, if you want to change the edge to smooth or jagged, or if you want to have the shape be a circle, instead of rectangular. This is not user friendly. I have edges (shown as lines) that I want to select and make not visible. This also, is not possible for some reason (bug)? So, I wanted to try just changing the edge style to show the cut edge more clearly as a cut edge (than as an actual edge of the part). Turns out, neither was possible and that is very, very annoying.
Alternatively, if you can't make it possible to edit these sorts of detail, section, base views without having to delete and start over, then make it possible to retain annotations or transfer them to the new drawing view.
C'mon Autodesk....
