Fix broken Inventor so that I can actually click-drag-move unconstrained and partially constrained components in assembly files

It is frustrating that assembly components will not move with either only one constraint in place, or no constraints in place. Please repair this broken code asap.

Hi @tstout9GFVP, many users have reported this error even me haha..

First check for bad constraints (Red Cross) but sometimes, overconstrainting your assembly without the red cross can freeze everything. Check for Inventor update. I think you should look at the Adaptive sketch, that usually locks down the component, remove adaptivity and it shoud move
