Find parts in model tree

Find parts in model tree

Hi,

we have a minor problem with the web view of 3D models in Fusion teams.

We import our Solidworks assemblies into teams and would like to see the corresponding properties for a part.

When clicking on the part it only shows the body information. It is quite impossible to find the enclosing part in the feature tree.

Is there a way to do this easier?

Otherwise, it would be nice to highlight the part in the feature tree when selecting a body or be able to right click and select "show in feature tree".

Hope this makes sense!

Thanks for a very nice product 😉

Best,

As a long-time user of another widely used 3D CAD software I am used to, when working in assembly, selecting a part and seeing it highlighted in the model tree/browser.  If the tree is long enough that it needs scrolling to see all of it, the part is highlight and the tree automatically moves to make the part visible.

When working with a part, I can click on any face, edge, body, etc and it should highlight the corresponding feature and move the tree as outlined above.

I am so frustrated by needing to use a selection filter.  Why do we need to select a filter to specify a face, body, surface, edge, etc., and maybe get what I am looking for highlighted in a visible spot on the browser tree. I would like to see it work so that I click on the part, face, edge etc. and see it in the Browser Tree, without having to RC and do an additional command.

nthomasH8FXK I totally agree. This would be a very simple and helpful improvement. Is Autodesk working on this? Its super slow to have to click into a feature and scroll and wander around to find which feature is where on the tree. I currently use CRTL + B to find a part in the tree but that does not work on features. There are too many selection filters unnecessarily slowing down modeling.
