Extra option for Symmetry Constraint in Assembly

Extra option for Symmetry Constraint in Assembly

At the moment the symmerty constrains in an assembly just lets me pick faces from 2 different parts, and a plane to use as midplane.

Ik would like to be able to select 2 faces from one part, and select a plane or face from another as midplane. It would be great to align and center rectangular flanges for instance.

Yeah, just like Solidworks has been able to do for the last decade.

I think, maybe, Solidworks has a different Symmetry constraint that is used differently than what Inventor thinks a Symmetry constraint should be.

What you want to do is constrain to a midplane that you create within the assembly (select the part and edit it to create it), but not actually create it???
