Export the flat pattern from a sheet metal model as Step or Iges

Hello,

i think there should be the option to export a the flat pattern from a sheet metal model as Step or Iges.

In version 2018 there is only the possibility to export as *.sat, *.dxf or *.dwg.

Some of the sheet metal laser systems working with step.

A workaround is to export as *.sat, than import this and after that export it as step.

But i think that is not the right way for a full-size- and full-prize-system.

Hello,

Where i work, we have a Plasma Plate cutting machine and I export dxf from Inventor for cutting on it. Of course, dxf do the job but the nice thing about step files is it knows the thickness of the plate and we don't have to manually indicate it. The problems is that we cant export the flat pattern in step. It would be really useful to use step files flat pattern from Inventor. It the best 3D CAD software for sheet metal work so I think am not the only one who will use this improvement.
