I would like to be able take a snip or screenshot of a part and paste it into a drawing, and have the part assume the same visual specs as the rest of the file.
I want it to be disconnected from the original file, just a picture that fits visually into a drawing. It does not need to be measured.
The reason is that a 1/4 view in a part model is often the best way to see what's going on inside of a closed part.
I had a fabricator quiz me about the plans I gave him because even though every dimension was on the print, he couldn't see what they were connected to. I finally opened the model, made a 1/4 cross-sectional view, and printed the screenshot. He immediately understood and asked why couldn't it be on the print?
