Displaying multiple model states in one drawing view

Displaying multiple model states in one drawing view

Good day. The state of the model is a great feature that has been awaited for a very long time, but when creating drawings it lacks functionality.
Very often in the drawings it is necessary to show several model states within one view, for example, the model in the state of the stock and the model in the state of the machined part, and with the current capabilities it is impossible to do this using states alone. Maybe it would be possible to make a refinement of the positional representations function, or its analogue. Or, you can implement this function by aligning views.

Currently, solving issues with such an arrangement of parts in one view is a separate headache, requiring the creation of an assembly model, and the location of two parts in different states.

The ability to display multiple model states in a single drawing view will greatly simplify documentation creation workflows.

Yes, please expand the Overly View functionality to also use Model States!

Thanks for your feedback and the workaround, your request is reasonable.

Currently, you can place two Model States views and manage to align them. We lack alignment features to make it more efficient. Btw, I would like to ask more questions about your requirement after overlaying Model states views, that's all you need? Do you still expect to dimension the delta, like the thickness of the removed material?

Good morning,

what I like to do is to create drawing views according to DIN ISO 128-34:2002-05. Here you overlay a finished part with the corresponding fabricated part or vice versa.

@jingyi.liu  that's right, I would like to be able to show a part within one view before processing and after, indicating the thickness of the cut material. This functionality is required as @RajSchmidt  indicated to demonstrate allowances in accordance with DIN ISO 128-34: 2002-05 or GOST 3.1125-88, GOST 7505-89, GOST 2.109-73.
Unfortunately, the alignment of views currently does not allow simultaneous positioning of one view relative to another, both horizontally and vertically, and besides, in this task it is important to combine the coordinate systems of the model in different states so that there are no distortions when determining the cut material.
