Dimension for the extension of intersecting lines with a fillet.

In some cases we need to defined a dimension like attached figure below

in this case, the only way to defined the dimension from a strait line to the extension of to intersecting lined by creating a new sketch to defined that.

 

I hope to create this automatically be selecting the two intersecting lines to get the intersect point, after that select the strait line to defined the dimension.

Correct! Use richt click when you already picked the first line of which you want to dimension the intersection. After picking intersection you can click the second line and the you have defined the intersection point. After that you have to decide where to end your dimension. This also could be a new intersection or just some other endpoint.

How do I get the lines that show the apparent intersection to show up when I add the dimension?

Figures, I just figured it out.  The "origin offset" in dimensions settings under "display" determines when these appear.  If the value is more than the distance apart the two intersection lines are will drive if they show or not.  In my case I changed this value to .09" and they appeared automatically.
