It's strange to have Inventor in dark mode but the various menu (new part, options, open file etc etc) stay in light mode. It would make sense that if I enable dark mode, the entire software would do so.
I totally agree. Those of us who are in a profession where we need to spend a lot of time looking at computer screens every day need some relief from all the eye strain caused by looking at what is literally bright white lights shining into our eyes. Its almost like staring at the headlights of oncoming traffic at night when they have their high beams on. Almost need to shield your eyes from some of that light pollution just so you can see where the edge of the road is, and keep from running off the road. Most likely a leading cause of most folks needing to get glasses before long when entering computer related professions. If I had my way, every part of every digital interface of every type would either simply be designed dark to start with, or have a dark mode/theme as its default, instead of something you have to hunt for then manually enable or turn on.
I have been wanting the folks at Autodesk to provide a 'dark mode/theme' for all the Autodesk related Forums and websites for years too. With these issues in mind, when we spend a lot of time on the forums, either looking for help, or helping others, it is costing us a lot more than just our time, and effort, its costing us the health of our eyes too. So, I'm hoping they get these types of things 'fixed' sooner rather than later. Everything else that's not currently broken, can be 'improved' later.
