Custom 3D Sections views from .prt or .asm to use for drawings in Inventor

Hello dear Autodesk team,

it would simplify the plan derivation process significantly,  if you can also use your own views, which you have defined in the part or assembly, in the drawing.

Hi Autodesk team,
it's great that this idea is worth to have more attention and is now under review.
I hope you can present a solution soon.
Many thanks.

Half Section, Quarter and Three Quarter Section views in the model browser are great tools.  You can already save these in a Design View Representation.  Why not make this Saved Design View Representation available in Drawing Views?  It fits nicely in the View Representation Options Pop-Up Window (see attached image).  I searched and couldn't find a way to do this.  If it's possible, could someone tell me how it's done, and my apologies for posting here.

Installed 2025 with high hopes that this option is finally available, but, alas, no...

It seems counter-intuitive that the model appears correctly when selecting "Custom View Orientation..." as @WCrihfield suggests, but will not transfer successfully to the drawing.

I needed this functionality just today, but it still is not available for some inexplicable reason.

Hi @Yijiang.Cai
I hope that "under review" will lead to this idea being implemented very soon. The idea makes it easier to represent in drawings and makes very effective use of the views of the 3D models.

Oh, I only read the first side of this idea and have not seen that the idea is meanwhile for "future consideration".
I hope that the futue is not to far away.

Best regards
Stephan
