cross-sectional view in a point cloud

Currently, to make a cut in a point cloud you have to do a “Box crop”.
It would be desirable to be able to cut a point cloud with the static or dynamic "Half-Section View" function to obtain a coherent and easy-to-perform cut.

It is not possible to section point clouds in Inventor.

It would be great if the sectioning worked like sectioning in Navisworks.

I've had to do the sectioning in AutoCAD, then attach the AutoCAD file to my assembly.

It would be great to bypass AutoCAD and get lines to constrain to.

Yes please, we need more support for point clouds.

I am currently looking at moving to SolidWorks unless I can see there is some effort to make point clouds more usable in the future in Inventor.

It would be a huge advantage if half section would cut point cloud. It could be a choise in aplication options.
