Creating holes/threads

I would like to be able to create a hole/thread in the centerpoint of a cirkular extrusion, without having to create a sketch before doing so.

That would be awesome! Same for rectangles. It could also even be extended so that some standard hole patterns can be done without a sketch.

mgrenier1 is actually right! The example is perhaps unfortunate, as it only enlarges an existing hole. I attached one that might be closer to what lina_juslin was referring to:

This however is not working for rectangles etc.
