Convert iMates Command

Sometimes there is a desire to convert iMates. Even if you implement the idea of treating iMates like constraints, it is still be very beneficial to be able to convert the iMates as it gives the user more flexibility and makes modeling more robust. It also allows the user to create many constraints quickly. The example above is from an Add-in I created. However, converting iMates does have its drawbacks.

One of the benefits of iMates is its ability to reattach the iMates if a component is replaced and has the same name as the iMates. That advantage is lost when you convert the iMate. Unless Autodesk implements the idea of reconnecting constraints based on face names (Autodesk by-the-way did implement the ability to name faces in 2019 but it won't remap constraints when a component is replaced ), you will lose that benefit that iMates give you.

This idea is part of a group of ideas under iMates Overhaul that seeks to improve iMates.

This is exactly a functionality that I am looking for. We could benefit from the automatability of iMates to bolster design but at the final product would prefer standard constraints; this would be perfect.
